What replaces People at Work (PAW) after 2 October 2026?
Short answer
WorkSafe Queensland is decommissioning the People at Work (PAW) free psychosocial assessment tool on 2 October 2026. RAE IQ replaces it with a complete psychosocial assessment, register, AI-assisted analysis, two-audience reporting, and historical PAW data import โ covering the same 13 PAW hazards under SWA's Model Code 2022 and ISO 45003:2021.
People at Work (PAW) was a free psychosocial hazard assessment tool run by WorkSafe Queensland that became widely used across Australia. PAW will be decommissioned on 2 October 2026 โ workplaces that rely on it for their psychosocial risk register need a replacement before that date.
RAE IQ's psychosocial assessment module is designed as a direct PAW replacement and goes further:
- Survey wizard โ 4-tab builder (Details / Modules / Demographics / Custom Demographics) with full lifecycle, activation and follow-up linking.
- 66-item instrument across 14 sections โ RAE IQ original, aligned to SWA's Managing Psychosocial Hazards Code 2022 and ISO 45003:2021. Covers the same 13 hazards PAW measures plus 2 additional categories.
- Scoring engine with suppression rules (small-group anonymity preserved).
- AI analysis layer โ PII redaction โ free-text analysis โ control suggestion โ executive summary.
- Two-audience reports โ exec summary for the board, detailed working report for the HSE team.
- PAW import โ ingest historical PAW exports (CSV / XLSX / PDF), crosswalk the 13 PAW hazards to RAE IQ's 15 hazard categories, and draft an assessment so you don't lose your baseline.
- ISO 45003 gap feed โ outputs map directly back into ISO 45003 clauses for the audit programme.
If your team is running PAW today, the PAW import tool means switching to RAE IQ doesn't reset your psychosocial history.
